Help the young musicians of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra bid a fond farewell to Maestro Lecce-Chong in his final concert with PYSO in their FREE winter concert at Heinz Hall on March 4^th at 7:30 PM. In addition to featuring the 2018 PYSO Concerto Competition winner Jaemin Lee performing as soloist in the first movement of Elgar’s Cello Concerto, the concert will open with 21^st century composer Jennifer Higdon’s Blue Cathedral. After intermission the Maestro and orchestra return to showcase Leonard Bernstein’s energetic and dynamic Symphonic Dances from West Side Story . The concert is free but tickets are required.
