West Side Story/Blue Cathedral

Presented by Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall

Help the young musicians of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra bid a fond farewell to Maestro Lecce-Chong in his final concert with PYSO in their FREE winter concert at Heinz Hall on March 4th at 7:30 PM. In addition to featuring the 2018 PYSO Concerto Competition winner Jaemin Lee performing as soloist in the first movement of Elgar’s Cello Concerto, the concert will open with 21st century composer Jennifer Higdon’s Blue Cathedral. After intermission the Maestro and orchestra return to showcase Leonard Bernstein’s energetic and dynamic Symphonic Dances from West Side Story . The concert is free but tickets are required.
