With more than 30 years of experience in the visual arts, my career has included managing fine art galleries, independent and corporate curatorial work, collection management, nonprofit management and private collection advising. Following a tenure of more than two decades curating the collection of a Fortune 500 financial company, Brian J. Lang Fine Art Advising was established to guide both individual and institutional collectors through all stages of a thoughtfully planned and executed collection strategy.
As a professional advisor, my primary responsibility is to educate and empower my clients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. My goal is to enrich each client’s individual experience, always working in their best interest, and to be a trusted, independent and objective partner. Working with individuals, organizations and estates, I specialize in collection planning and management, acquisitions, deaccessioning, loans of art and estate/legacy planning.
