Experts work to relocate threatened birds to snake-free islands, develop education programs to engage citizens of the Mariana Islands in the conservation of their native birds, and establish healthy populations to ensure species’ survival.

In just a few decades, the island of Guam lost nearly all of its native bird species to an invasive species: the Brown Tree Snake. Now, conservationists are planning ahead to protect bird species in the neighboring Mariana Islands. Rate: $5 flat fee

Parking at the National Aviary is always available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Visitors may access the National Aviary entrance on Arch Street using the guided walkway through the Allegheny Commons Park. This accessible walkway starts at the National Aviary parking lot and runs parallel to the driveway.
