Carnegie Museum of Natural History is a place of adventure, discovery and education that welcomes everyone to enjoy the wonders of its collections and exhibitions. Accessible parking spaces are available in our parking garage entered at the corner of Forbes Avenue and South Craig Street.
If a visitor is accompanied by a caregiver, the caregiver will receive complementary admission to the museum.
The museum is wheelchair accessible. Power assist doors are located at the museum’s main entrances at the front of the building on Forbes Avenue, at the rear of the building via the parking garage, and at the Portal Entry.
Standard, manual wheel chairs are available free of charge at museum coat rooms on first come, first served basis. We also welcome your personal manual or motorized wheelchairs, walkers, or scooters. The museum’s dining areas and gift shops are wheelchair accessible, and wheelchair accessible restrooms are available.
Regular weekly hours from Labor Day until Memorial Day:
Monday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Wednesday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Thursday: 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.–5 p.m.
Sunday: noon–5 p.m.
Admission includes same-day access to both Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Carnegie Museum of Art. A surcharge may apply for some special exhibitions.
