The Arts During COVID-19
Following recommendations from local, state, and federal health officials, event organizers and presenters are encouraged to postpone or cancel events that encourage large gatherings of people. The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council and Artsburgh are closely monitoring these developments and updating event listings on our calendar to inform you of schedule changes.
Many presenting organizations have shifted their programming to virtual offerings. You can now view all Pittsburgh-area arts offerings available online in the “Online/Streaming” tab. These events are exclusively presented to be enjoyed in the comfort and safety of your home. If you are unsure if an event has shifted to an online presentation, we recommend that you reach out to the presenting organization directly.
Museums and Cultural Sites Reopening: Several museums, cultural attractions, and outdoor venues are slowly reopening their doors to the public in a limited capacity. These museums and cultural institutions have been meeting regularly to collaboratively plan for facility re-openings and share best practices. You can view more information about museums that may be reopening, as well as their COVID-19 safety responses, here. Please note that not all organizations listed here have reopened to the public, but you can find pertinent information regarding their COVID-19 protocols.
FOR PRESENTING ORGANIZATIONS: If you are a presenting organization whose event has been postponed or canceled, please log in and update your event. Please be sure to include the word “(POSTPONED)” or “(CANCELED)” in the title of your affected events. You can also update your events if they have changed to virtual programming.
