The Frick Environmental Center is a welcome facility, education hub, and gateway to Frick Park. Free and open to all, this cutting-edge facility enhances visitor experience and inspires learners to discover one of Pittsburgh’s largest parks.

A project of the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and the City of Pittsburgh, the Frick Environmental Center is a certified Living Building that has achieved Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) PlatinumClick here to learn more about the building.

The Frick Environmental Center provides families, students, and learners of all ages with a state-of-the-art space for hands-on, experiential environmental education. Re-opening Date: 

The Frick Environmental Center is closed to the public at this time. Regarding the Parks Conservancy’s re-opening and next steps, we are still evaluating our own timeline, but we look forward to sharing more updates soon.

Please note, public restrooms maintained by the Parks Conservancy are closed. These include restrooms at the Frick Environmental Center, Schenley Plaza, and Schenley Visitor Center.
