Restart the Arts

The Arts Exist for a Purpose

Rediscover yours

It’s time to bring a sense of meaning back into our world. To reignite the passions within us all. To come together as a community and reconnect with the very things that make our lives worth living. This is the noble mission of the arts and it’s about to take center stage once again.

Over a long and difficult pandemic, Pittsburgh’s arts, entertainment and cultural venues have fought a courageous battle for survival—patiently planning, writing, teaching and longing for the day our audiences would return.

Restart the Arts is a vital, public service campaign to safely reengage patrons, families, and businesses with Pittsburgh’s world-class arts and culture—to restart not only our economy, but the very drama of being alive.

Please join the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council along with our member organizations to help us dim the lights, draw the curtain, cue the music, and fill this amazing canvas we call humanity.

The Art of Philanthropy

For foundations, corporate benefactors, and avid patrons of the arts, we urge you to get involved with restarting, not just our livelihoods, but the soul of a city.

That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse.
