Audience Safety Fund

Many of our most treasured performing arts and cultural venues have been closed since March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Since then, the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council has surveyed organizations to assess their needs and convened roundtables with venues to formulate best practices. We’re also currently participating in an international audience research study to identify the necessary steps that will make your favorite arts spaces safe when you’re ready to go back.

In response to these discussions and survey data, it’s clear that our region’s arts facilities and venues need financial support in order to successfully reopen after the pandemic.

The new Audience Safety Fund will provide up to $500 to help arts and cultural organizations prepare their staff and facilities to safely reopen to the public.

The Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council is fundraising for this new fund and they need your help to reach the goal of $20,000? Help your favorite organizations prepare now so that they can safely welcome you back later.
