YAH opened in August of 2018 with a gallery, a creative reuse center, and an artisan walking cane donation project.  Located in Jeannette, a former factory town in central Westmoreland County, YAH provides material support to artists in the form of studio space, exhibition opportunities, and often modest payment in exchange for active engagement in local creative community building through sensitive and relevant publicly accessible projects.  YAH provides community access to affordable art-making materials through a reuse center for art supplies and equipment, and, also, manages a network of woodcarvers who create and donate one-of-a-kind walking canes to individuals struggling with diminished mobility.

You Are Here gallery presents five exhibitions yearly, and one “Mad Lab” session when the gallery is turned into a maker space for community art projects.  Pre-Covid, the gallery space housed regular music events and poetry readings, and is currently beginning to resume such activities.  YAH is women operated and offers a warm welcome to all visitors.
