Join the Fort Pitt Museum for a day-long seminar commemorating the 245th anniversary of Lord Dunmore’s War, which will feature noted authors along with guests from the Shawnee Tribe.
In 1774, American Indians and white settlers battled in the Virginia backcountry and Ohio River Valley in a conflict known as Lord Dunmore’s War. It is a largely unknown moment in history because it took place on the eve of the American Revolution.
Admission to the Dunmore’s War seminar is $25 for adults and $20 for students and History Center members. Please register in advance at www.heinzhistorycenter.org/events.
