Join Irish genealogy experts Fintan Mullan and Gillian Hunt from the Ulster Historical Foundation in Belfast for the fifth annual Irish Genealogy Workshop at the Heinz History Center.
This in-depth workshop will examine a multitude of historic records and electronic resources that will advance your Irish genealogical research. Responding to popular demand, this event will also include an expanded networking session for connecting with fellow attendees and local genealogical societies.
Along with experts from the Ulster Historical Foundation, representatives from the History Center’s Detre Library & Archives, the Westmoreland Historical Society, and other local genealogical societies will also be on hand to share best practices and tips with visitors and fellow researchers.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a special curator-led tour of the History Center’s Irish American Collection on display within the museum’s fourth-floor Special Collections Gallery.
This workshop is offered in partnership with the Westmoreland Historical Society, which preserves and interprets the history of Westmoreland County.
The cost is $40 for general registration and $30 for History Center and Westmoreland Historical Society members. Please register online at www.heinzhistorycenter.org/events.
