Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra: Scenes of a Symphony

Presented by Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra at St. Bernard Church

“Scenes of a Symphony”, presented by the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra, will feature Guilmant’s
Symphony No. 1 for Organ and Orchestra with Chaz Bowers, principal organist and music
director of St. Bernard’s church, in the solo role. The concert will also feature each section of the
orchestra in individual selections.

The brass will perform Canzona by Gabrieli and the Fanfare from “La Peri” by Dukas, the winds will perform a Reinecke octet, and the strings will play The Capriol Suite by Peter Warlock, based on medieval dances.

The concert will be held at St. Bernard Catholic Church 311 Washington Rd. Pgh., Pa 15216 on Sunday Feb. 10 at 4pm.
