PGH Photo Fair Speaker Series

PGH Photo Fair Speaker Series

Presented by Casey Droege Cultural Productions at Ace Hotel

We are pleased to announce the return of the PGH Photo Fair Speaker Series. This free lecture series takes place once a month at the Ace Hotel, leading up to the PGH Photo Fair at the Carnegie Museum this spring on April 27th and 28th.

Whether you're a collector, a photography enthusiast, or just a fan of Instagram - PGH Photo Fair Speaker Series will have something to offer that you won't find anywhere else in town. The series features speakers who will focus on the nuts and bolts of collecting, the state of the art, and an insider's view of the market.

February 20th Speaker: Antwaun Sargent is a writer and critic living and working in New York City. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, The New Yorker, The Nation, W,  Aperture, Vice and various museum publications including Mickalene Thomas, Arthur Jafa and Ed Clark exhibition catalogs. Recently he co-curated the Aperture Foundation exhibition, "The Way We Live Now," and has lectured and been in conversation with artists at Studio Museum in Harlem, Brooklyn Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art, Denver and the Art Gallery of Toronto. He is currently working on a photography book that will be published by Aperture in the fall.
