MadFridays Reading Series: Susan Shaw Sailer, Lori Wilson, Anne Rashid

SUSAN SHAW SAILER lives in Morgantown, West Virginia, and has been a Madwoman for 12 years. She has published a chapbook, Coal, and two books, Ship of Light and The God of Roundabouts. Her poems have appeared recently in such venues as Minerva RisingThe Main Street Rag, andKakalak 18.

LORI WILSON is the author of the poetry collection, House Where a Woman (Autumn House Press, 2009). Her poems have appeared in journals such as SalamanderSouthern Poetry ReviewNelleThe Laurel Review and Hayden’s Ferry Review. Recipient of the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellowship at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Wilson holds an MA in economics from Harvard University and an MFA in poetry from Drew University. She lives in Morgantown, West Virginia, where she works as a software developer and teaches a satellite poetry workshop in affiliation with The Madwomen in the Attic creative writing workshops of Carlow University.

ANNE RASHID is an associate professor of English and Women’s and Gender Studies Director at Carlow University. She teaches courses in American literature, creative writing, environmental justice, women’s & gender studies, as well as Madwomen in the Attic Workshops. She is faculty advisor for Carlow’s chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Society and The Critical Point, Carlow’s undergraduate writing and art journal. She has published poetry in Adagio Verse QuarterlyLit Candles: Feminist Mentoring and the TextThe Metro TimesPittsburgh City PaperForumPaterson Literary ReviewBroad River ReviewWalloon Writers Review and The Fourth River. She also has published many translations of Korean poetry with her co-translator, the late Chae-Pyong Song, in many journals and anthologies.
