The African American Program of the Senator John Heinz History Center and the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh will present This African-American Life: An Evening with Hugh B. Price hosted by KDKA’s Lynne Hayes-Freeland.
From 1994 to 2003, Hugh B. Price served as president and CEO of the National Urban League. Price’s role at the Urban League was just one aspect of his long and impressive life. In “This African-American Life,” Price traces his family’s forbearers and shows how his background led him to champion education and the creation of opportunity to help others reach the high levels he has achieved throughout his lifetime.
Admission to this program is free, but pre-registration is encouraged. Admission to this program does not include admission to the full History Center and its exhibitions.
Copies of “This African-American Life” will also be available for purchase the night of the program, and Hugh B. Price will sign copies following his presentation.
