The Heinz History Center’s Destination Moon exhibit is hitting the big screen with a special one-night-only screening of “Hidden Figures” at Row House Cinema!
Experience this award-winning 2016 film as it explores the contributions of a team of female African American mathematicians who served a vital role at NASA during the early years of America’s space program. The contributions of Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, Mary Jackson, and their African American colleagues helped put Armstrong and Aldrin on the Moon, and theirs are stories often left out in popular retellings of this important moment in American history.
Attendees will receive admission to the movie, hear about the Destination Moon exhibition from a History Center curator, and receive a free pass to see the exhibition at the History Center (a $19 value!)
Tickets are $10 per person, available through Row House Cinema.
