Rachel Masilamani - Made Local Artist

A veteran self-publisher, Rachel Masilamani has been making comics since 1997. Her first comics collection, RPM Comics #1, received a grant from the Xeric Foundation and was named “Best Comic Book” by the Baltimore City Paper. Her comics have appeared in MeathausStreet RunoffGraphics ClassicsThe Indiana Review, and Dog City. Her graphic piece Who Does He Favor? was published in the Los Angeles Review of Books as part of a series of 20 “literary addresses” commissioned by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center. She is currently working on a new graphic novel, Nonpartum, which is being published in installments on Mutha Magazine.
