The Cool Globes public art exhibit is hosting a grand opening on Monday, June 18th in Market Square from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet is bringing it's "public art with a purpose" to Pittsburgh. Nearly 30 colorful globes will adorn the sidewalks in Market Square, PPG Place, and Gateway Center.
Each globe comes with its own message on what you can do to address climate change. Included in the exhibit are three new globes created by local artists: Katy DeMent, Ashley Kyber, and Lindsay Wright. Pittsburgh is Cool Globe's 20th exhibition location.
