Streaming Justice

SLB Radio Productions presents a live 5-hour webcast exploring civil rights accomplishments, challenges, and dreams for the future. On Freedom Corner

10:00 am - 4:30 pm, in the Art Studio 

Freedom Corner, the historic corner of the Centre and Crawford avenues, is a symbol of the home of the Civil Rights Movement in Pittsburgh. Create collages using images from both the Pittsburgh and national movement and write an idea that you would fight for on a picket sign and pose in front of our collage mural.

I Have A Dream Collaborative Metal Sculpture 

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, in MAKESHOP

Create a metal sculpture that pays tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. and his famous speech: I Have A Dream. Pick a favorite quote from the speech and punch it into metal sheeting, or add texture and shapes to the surface of the sculpture. When it's finished the sculpture will be featured in MAKESHOP until the end of February to celebrate Black History Month.
