Evening with Football Correspondent John Clayton

Presented by Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse at Pittsburgh Playhouse

John Clayton - Born in Churchill High School and Duquesne University, John Clayton has been synonymous with football on ESPN. He began his writing career at the Pittsburgh Press as the beat writer for the NFL and Pittsburgh Steelers from 1976 to 1986. In August 1995 Clayton joined ESPN as a senior NFL writer and commentator. A 2007 Dick McCann Memorial Award winner, he was inducted into the writers’ wing of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. As the final speaker for this edition of the Point Park Talk Back Series, Clayton discusses the ever-changing role of media in sports, and the evolution of the Super Bowl from the final game of the year to a  two-week media blitz. Bob Pompeani, Point Park alumnus and KDKA-TV sports anchor, moderates this event.
