Creatives for Climate Open Studios are intimate gatherings where imaginative and inventive people can learn about a specific theme related to climate crisis and climate solutions and reflect on the topic through an art exercise.
Visual artist Ann Rosenthal (www.locusartstudio.org) will lead participants in a botanical journaling activity, which you can continue to do throughout the seasons. The exercise is designed to sensitize participants to the beauty and complexity of the more-than-human world. We will provide materials, or you can bring your own. If possible, please bring a natural object for the activity, such as a leaf, twig or flower.
C4C co-founder Kirsi Jansa (www.sustainabilitypioneers.com) will share Joanna Macy’s thoughts about Active Hope and about our ability to see the world with new eyes, create a new sense of self, foster a different kind of power, and experience a larger view of time.
