The release party will include an exploration of many issues of life, dehumanization and violence, and rehumanization and human dignity through readings of poetry and prose, musical performances, and artist presentations.
After an educational day at Life/Peace/Justice Conference, join our team for a celebratory evening as we release the first-ever creative issue of Life Matters Journal: create | encounter.
Create | Encounter exists to illustrate the inherent dignity of each and every human being by sharing creative narratives through poetry, prose, and visual art. A contest was held this Summer with an open call for submissions relating to these topics in a diverse array of media. The winners were selected by a panel of judges; winners will be performing their winning pieces, and honorable mentions will also be included in the show. A print version of the create | encounter edition of Life Matters Journal will be available for a small donation at the event.
Refreshments will be served.
