Sound Sanctuary

Sound Sanctuary

Presented by Sneha Yoga & Wellness Collective at Sneha Yoga & Wellness Collective

Erik Lawrence will take you through a musically guided Sound Meditation. These are deep sound experiences, utilizing flutes from many cultures, bells gongs, pitched bells and tuning forks. Improvised and created on the spot using looping technology and designed to respond to the dynamic of the group in the room and their experience with the intention of uplift, healing, well being, cleansing, rejuvenating. Leave with a renewed sense of safety, encouragement and inspiration. Listeners can lay or sit in quiet meditation, sketch, draw mandalas, journal or write poetry.
Please feel free to bring a journal & pen, drawing materials, etc.

Erik Lawrence
Erik is a certified sound and vibrational practitioner, having studied ancient and modern sound techniques with masters, including Dr John Bealieu (Biosonics tuning forks), Silvia Nakkach (Yoga of Voice), Dr Pat Moffett Cook (Music Healing of Indigenous Peoples). He sits on two boards of the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine in NYC, one of the oldest and most celebrated Music Therapy Centers in the world. In addition, he has taught in colleges and clinics throughout the world since the age of 18. For Erik, music is based on an emotional response system, starting with his own breath. In Sound Sanctuary and private sessions, Erik will use his tools, tuning forks, singing bowls, toning and humming and his wind instruments (sax and flute), as well as sharing techniques you can implement yourself. At times, he will create and record music specifically in response to your session, which can be used as a constitutional remedy throughout your days.
