Story Tellers

Story Tellers

Presented by Percolate Gallery, Art Space and Laboratory at Percolate Gallery, Art Space and Creative Laboratory

Artists are generally asked "What were you thinking, is there a story behind the work"?  I've heard this as an artist and curator.  We tell our story through visual prose instead of written; this is something that has been done since Lascaux. Artists through many mediums, weave stories that intrigue, delight and sometimes offend the viewer.

Collectively Jessica Heberle, Heather Heitzenrater, Karly Takach, and Melissa Reed invite you to listen and view their story. Each artist has written not just a statement, but a story to connect each viewer to their work.

The arts have continually stifled women through history in text, on the walls, the galleries, and museums.  This exhibit features the stories of four up and coming female artists, visual Story Tellers in Pittsburgh. Percolate is proud to feature them.
