The August Wilson African American Cultural Center is thrilled to bring Hip-Hop Camp: The Elements of Hip-Hop Dance, with educator Christian “JITA” Brown. The purpose of this camp will be to educate students on the fundamentals of dance and what makes hip-hop dance an influential style of dance. JITA will take students on a journey through popping, locking, and break dancing, and encourage students to use their individual style and personality to create a dance masterpiece.

The two sessions will take place at the August Wilson African American Cultural Center on May 14th and May 28th in our studio. It is recommended that students wear comfortable clothing and shoes to easily move during the sessions. This class is designed for students 10 to 16 years of age and class size will be limited to ensure all students receive proper instructions to achieve their goals. All students will receive a swag bag that will be mailed prior to start of the sessions.
