Jun-Li Wang of Springboard for the Arts leads this session on artists working with communities.
Are you an artist that already works with the community? Are you an artist that wants to extend their practice to working with the community? Springboard for the Arts developed A Handbook for Artists Working in Community, which is an invaluable resource for all artists seeking to engage communities in their practice. The book is a compilation of insights, practices, and tools from Springboard’s collective experiences as artists, as an organization working with hundreds of artists in communities, and from artist practitioners. Jun-Li Wang, Associate Director of Programs at Springboard for the Arts, will discuss this handbook as a practical manual for artists who would like to begin or deepen their work with the community.
Tickets for this session are Pay What You Can: $15, $10, or Free.
