Grounded: Popular tunes, dances, and variations of the Renaissance and Baroque
Chatham Baroque showcases the collective synergy, sparkle, and spirit of artistic directors Andrew Fouts, Patricia Halverson, and Scott Pauley as they embark on an exploration of popular tunes, grounds, and sonatas of the 16th and 17th centuries. Join us for a Baroque jam session as we riff on popular tunes and dances like the Folia, Ciacona, and Romanesca, and include music penned by Corelli, Marais, Ortiz, Pandolfi, and Matteis.
