Virtual Autumn House Press Fall Poetry Release Party!

White Whale Bookstore is delighted to partner up with local press Autumn House in order to celebrate their fall 2021 poetry releases! We’ll be joined by poets Shayla Lawz, author of speculation, n.; Natalie Homer, author of Under the Broom Tree; Carly Inghram, author of The Animal Indoors; and Sean Cho A., author of American Home!

Autumn House Press is a nonprofit, literary publisher based in Pittsburgh, PA. We publish full-length collections of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. About these writers:

Shayla Lawz is a writer and interdisciplinary artist from Jersey City, NJ. Her writing appears or is forthcoming in Aster(ix), McSweeney’s Quarterly, and The Poetry Project, among others. She lives in Brooklyn, where she teaches in the Humanities and Media Studies Department at Pratt Institute. speculation, n. is her first book.

Natalie Homer’s poetry has been published in The Boiler, Cincinnati Review, Carolina Quarterly, Berkeley Poetry Review, Meridian, Barnstorm, The Pinch, and elsewhere. Originally from Idaho, she now lives in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, where she is a parish administrator of an Episcopal church.

Carly Inghram is a poet from Atlanta. She received an MFA in poetry from Columbia University. Her work is featured in The Indianapolis Review, Prelude, and elsewhere. Her debut collection, Sometimes the Blue Trees, was released from Vegetarian Alcoholic Press in 2019. She currently lives in Manhattan and teaches Kindergarten in the Bronx.

Sean Cho A. is an MFA candidate and graduate instructor at the University of California, Irvine. He has published in Pleiades, the Massachusetts Review, Penn Review, Ninth Letter, and Nashville Review, among others.
