The play’s the thing! Shakespeare’s compelling classic with a modern twist, Pittsburgh Shakespeare in the Park’s HAMLET features an all-female cast directed by KJ Gilmer; the story of a grieving prince and a crumbling kingdom.
Admission is FREE with donations of any amount encouraged to support free Shakespeare in Pittsburgh city parks. Additional pre-show events to be announced. Audience members are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets and a picnic. Friendly dogs are also welcome. Productions are rain or shine except in the event of dangerous storm conditions.
Performance Schedule: Frick Park (2PM Sat/Sun Sept 4-5 and Sat/Sun Sept 25-26); Schenley Plaza (6 PM, Fri/Sat Sept 10-11, and Fri Sept 17); Highland Park (2PM Sat/Sun Sept 11-12); and North Park Boathouse (2 PM Sat/Sun Sept 18-19).
