Formed in the fall of 2007, The Turpentiners are a five-piece acoustic group from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The group plays a mix of traditional American music ranging from gut-bucket blues to good-time country and rural swing. The repertoire is a soulful blend of American music from a wide range of eras and sources compiled with the philosophy that a good song—like good food—always proves itself relevant. Individually, the Turpentiners have performed in numerous well-regarded Pittsburgh ensembles including Coal Train, The Johnsons, Truth and Rights, Ploughman’s Lunch, Mac Martin & the Dixie Travelers, The Allegheny Rhythm Kings, and The B3s. Members are Ben Hartlage (guitar/vocals), Adam Frew (upright bass), Megan Williams (violin/vocals/washboard), Ron Mesing (dobro) and Stu Braun (harmonica). No tickets will be required for this show, but we will be accepting tips for the artists both at the concert and online.

The Porch restaurant will have a cash bar open for the evening.
