World-renowned Chinese Artist Ai Weiwei Continues his Focus on Refugees in his New Film “The Rest”
The film is about refugees who arrived in Europe, the world's bastion of human rights. These refugees fled war and persecution. They now live in limbo within a disintegrating humanitarian aid system, no longer the center of media attention, yet unable to move forward with their lives. They are "The Rest".
The Carnegie Mellon International Festival is proud to present 'The Rest' by Ai Weiwei as a part of the 2020-21 Virtual Film Festival Series: Faces of Home.
