Join the History Center for a virtual exploration of Nellie Bly’s trip around the world.
Join a conversation with University of Pittsburgh student researcher, Lawson Pace; the History Center’s Chief Historian, Anne Madarasz; Youth and Family Program Manager, Nate Rodda; and Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Sarah Reck; and discover the stories uncovered in the effort to document the global travels of Western Pennsylvania native Nellie Bly that commenced in November 1889.
Lawson’s research is at the center of a blog series that shares Nellie’s experiences and the world she encountered. Hear how the project began, how the History Center is sharing Nellie’s story, and interesting facts about Nellie Bly learned along the way.
This virtual program is free, but donations are appreciated. Please register at heinzhistorycenter.org/events.
