Two part Women In Collage class. We will discuss various female collage artists and their work. Taking that information we will create collages inspired by these women.
Explore female collage artist from this century and centuries past. You will explore the history of collage, as well as, principles, procedures, composition, esthetics, and symbolism as you create a collage each week. Papers, ephemera, old postcards, stamps, fabrics, paints, markers, calligraphy anything is up for grabs and fuel for in your collage. Join us for this time of creativity, expression and socializing. Supplies list is as follows: papers to glue your collage including old calendar pages, scrapbook paper, canvas, Bristol paper, watercolor paper, Ephemera, foreign language papers from books, newspapers, glue sticks, acrylic paints in several colors (you can get these rather cheaply at Michaels), paint brushes, stencils, permanents markers like sharpies of different colors. Materials fee due to the instructor the first night of class.
