Muddled + Mixed

Muddled + Mixed

Presented by Sweetwater Center for the Arts at Sweetwater Center for the Arts

Sweetwater’s presents Muddled + Mixed, a fantastic night of art, music, cocktails and friendly competition. Pittsburgh’s food and drink scene is booming, and we want to celebrate! A handful of the best local Pittsburgh distilleries and mixologists will be on site muddling and mixing up one-of-a-kind cocktails inspired by works of art, also created by local artists.  The evening will also feature a live art auction and music from DJ Buscrates.

Muddled + Mixed will feature spirits from Wigle Whiskey, Boyd & Blair Potato Vodka, Maggie’s Farm Rum and McLaughlin Distillery. Nicole Battle of täkō & DiAnoia’s Eatery, Collin McNamee of Soba, Amanda Schaffner of The Butterjoint and Legume, and Michel Mincin of Allora Wine Group will create cocktails inspired by the artworks of Kara Zuzu, Ron Copeland, Stephanie Armbruster and Tate Hudson.

All guests will have a chance to taste these carefully crafted cocktails and vote on their favorite with the People’s Choice Award.  A panel of guest judges including Nina Barbuto of Assemble, Sam Dibattistia of Vivo Kitchen, and Dan Gigler of the Post Gazette’s Munch, will also be on site and determine their favored innovative cocktail.

The evening will also feature traditional cocktail making demonstrations with Rob Ricci of Boyd and Blair and syrup making and infusion technique demonstrations with Jordan Mroziak and Lisa Belczyk of Draper and Dots.
