From superhero powers to epic journeys to worlds that need saving, nature and the outdoors are full of stories that excite, educate, and enthrall! Join naturalist educator Rachel Hermes for a crash course in creating comics from outdoor inspiration.
This four-week course will include both online engagement through Zoom and real-world exploration. Students will combine observation and research skills with writing, art, and a healthy dose of fun to create their own comics and develop their own style. This course includes a $50 value kit with everything students will need to complete their comics.
Each week there will be one, 1.5-hour instructional session and one optional two-hour studio session.

Instructional classes: Tuesdays from 2pm to 3:30 pm.  (July 14, 21, 28, August 4)

Optional drop-in studio sessions: Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm (July 16, 23, 30, August 6)
