The Off Minor Jazz Series is happy to welcome back Pittsburgh vocalist Kathy Connor. Kathy is one of Pittsburgh’s musical gems and has been performing since the late 1960’s. Known for mining the Great American Songbook for hidden treasures, Kathy’s unique phrasing and rhythmic conception make any song come alive. She’ll be joined by guitarist Mark Strickland, bassist Tony DePaolis and drummer Thomas Wendt. Connor’s singular and personal way with lyric and melody make her a true original. She is excited to return to City of Asylum with a diverse program drawing from the Great American Songbook, soul, pop, and local writers.

The Off Minor Jazz Series highlights the music of legendary jazz composers and players. The series has been curated by drummer Thomas Wendt, who puts together specialized musicians for each concert.
