Artists Building People Power: Civic Leadership by Neighbors for Neighbors

Artists Building People Power: Civic Leadership by Neighbors for Neighbors

Presented by Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council at Online/Virtual Space

Join the Arts Council, New Sun Rising, and ioby for a panel discussion that elevates the civic leadership of Pittsburgh artists. We’ll close with a brief offering of fundraising resources to support your civic leadership.

Across America, artists are stepping into civic life and using their skills to creatively address local issues. In creative placemaking, artists act as partners in community development, working closely with their neighbors, community organizations, and local government to build a thriving community for all.

Artists leading neighborhood installations will explore:

How the arts can clarify community development goals.
How the power of an artist’s imagination transforms dreams into actionable vision.
How artists evolve their own purpose as their impact grows.
How artists amplify their people power to do more good in their own backyard.

Zoom access will be provided upon registration. For security purposes, please do not share any Zoom links. Thank you!
