The band will play selections from their upcoming CD entitled “Before You Go.” This will be one of Rossman and Potter’s last appearances in Pittsburgh before they move west in pursuit of their musical careers.

Reggie Watkins- Trombonist, pianist, arranger and composer Reggie Watkins has released three recordings as leader. From 1999 -2006 Watkins was trombonist and musical director for trumpeter and band leader Maynard Ferguson. Now in addition to leading his own trio and quartet, he is a member of Orrin Evans’ Captain Black Big Band, The Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra and founding member of The Keystone Jazz Collective.

Beni Rossman- bassist, composer, arranger, and teacher – attended Duquesne University where he studied under Sean Jones and Mike Tomaro in jazz composition, arranging, and improvisation. His tours have included stops at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the ASCAP Jazz Awards in Los Angeles.

Chris Potter- pianist, composer and educator is a Pittsburgh transplant from Northeast PA, stays active in many genres of live and recorded music in the city. Chris is also a staff accompanist at his alma mater Duquesne University and the pianist for Calvary Baptist Church of the Hill.

Jevon Rushton- By the age of six drummer and percussionist Jevon Rushton was already mesmerizing those around him with his dexterity as a young drummer. At age 14, Jevon made the decision to cultivate his playing by studying at the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) under the tutelage of jazz legend, Roger Humphries. Jevon brings a rare and unique sense of elegance, chilled composure, and gritty groove to his music.
