Women In Film Pittsburgh recognizes the need of local actors and models to further their knowledge of their professions and are prepared to assist them with this one day of training.

With all the films, commercials, voice-over work and training films that happen in Pittsburgh, there is a definite need for people to become more informed, more professional and learn about resources to help them.

Want to get into the film or commercial business in Pittsburgh?  This training is for you as our background/extra professionals let you know how to get your foot in the door and our talent agents and casting directors help you to become more professional.

The day will consist of local talent agents The Talent Group and Docherty Talent and Modeling, casting directors, Donna Belajac Casting and Nancy Mosser Casting as well as background casting professionals, make-up and wardrobe specialists providing information.

The topics will include specifics on putting together a resume; for actors and models – how to choose your photographer, what to wear to the shoot; audition techniques; SAG/AFTRA (actor’s union) vouchers; getting ‘bumped’; set etiquette; wardrobe do’s and don’ts; how to come to the set ‘make-up’ ready and other tips for becoming a professional.

This session is one of the most important sessions any actor or model should attend as it will give you a good starting point if you’re looking to get in the business.  If you’re already in the competitive business – this will help you excel in your career.
