About this Event

Test your typewriting skills with master storyteller Doctor Sparks. You'll write a short story during the workshop with one of 15 antique typewriters then share with the group. Best story will take home a prize!

Assemble 21+ Workshop tickets include drinks, snacks and all project materials.

ABOUT DR. SPARKS

Doctor Sparks is the Storytelling alter ego of Dr. Karl J. P. Smith. Karl been typing stories on his typewriter for strangers for more than 6 years, and he has written over 1,900 stories. His typewriting storytelling has been profiled by USAToday, Scientific American, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and in 2017 he was named "Storyteller-in-Residence" at the Carnegie Science Center. He tours regionally as a children's Storyteller.

Assemble envisions diverse neighborhoods of empowered people who create, connect, learn, and transform together.
