Sound Series: An Evening with Vieux Farka Touré

The Warhol welcomes back Malian singer and guitarist, Vieux Farka Touré. The son of Grammy-winning musician Ali Farka Touré, Vieux's globally-minded music blends traditional African melodies and instrumentation with modern electric guitar and rock structures. His 2017 release, Samba (meaning second son in his native Songhai) was recorded in front of a live studio audience in Woodstock, New York. Co-presented with WYEP.
