107th Annual Exhibition Opening

Presented by Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and The Westmoreland Museum of American Art at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art

Join the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh and the Westmoreland Museum of American Art for the opening of the 107th Annual Exhibition, curated and juried by Juana Williams. The 107th Annual Exhibition opening event will take place from 1pm - 3pm on November 10, and light refreshments will be served. Museum hours on Sunday are 10:00am-5:00pm the exhibition will be on view during this time. Admission to the Westmoreland is always free.

The 107th Annual highlights the artwork of 49 currently-working artists in the region, plus four additional artists working with installation art. The installation pieces are on view just up the street at Seton Hill University's Harlan Galleries. (205 West Otterman Street).

The opening event will feature a roundtable discussion with our juror and curator, Juana Williams, in conversation with AAP members Tom Ferraro, Tyler Gaston, Stephanie Martin, and Mia Tarducci.

Serving as juror for the upcoming Exhibition is Juana Williams, Exhibitions Curator at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A specialist in contemporary African American art, she has curated exhibitions for both private and public institutions and has held positions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, the Detroit Institute for the Arts, and Wayne State University. Most recently, she served as juror for ArtPrize’s 2018 Contemporary Black Art Award.

“I’m looking forward to playing a role in the continued legacy of such a significant arts organization, viewing the works of the many artists AAP serves, forming relationships with Pittsburgh artists, and bridging the gap between Pittsburgh and Grand Rapids,” says Williams.

The exhibition will be on view at the museum until January 26th, 2020.
