I AM: Volume 5, Space will be a culmination of live video footage of spontaneous performances in unique spaces. The 5th of the I AM series, created by vocalist/ Producer/Composer Tania Grubbs will explore SPACES & PLACES through in an auditory, visual & kinesthetic presentation.

I AM is a series of 60-80 minute concerts filled with original music, well known, and some less known standards along with interesting stories and researched facts. Tania describes the series as “a live documentary with a point of entry approach.” All performances include video footage, photography, and narration.

SPACES & PLACES people have lived, traveled, experienced historically have been extremely inspiring to talk about, write about and share experiences. Artists of every genre, be it storytelling, music, movement use these human experiences to create art, this collaborative process oriented series will do just that, take you on a journey of SPACES & PLACES.

Tania Grubbs is a jazz vocalist who brings a fresh approach to the great American song book. Singing as long as she can remember, Tania has been a featured vocalist with the Florida Philharmonic Orchestra, the Voices of the Boca Pops Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. She has performed with the Civic Light Opera, Pittsburgh Cultural Trust “Jazzlive” series, and The Pittsburgh Jazz Society.
