Autiobio or Die! - Round Two

Autiobio or Die! - Round Two

Presented by Full Pint Wild Side Pub at Full Pint Wild Side

Comics are the perfect, multimodal approach to capture and share the essence of what our subjective lives feel like. Using drawing, writing, diagramming and the collage-like capacity of comics, attendees will learn how to keep a comics diary and how their comics can be used for reflection, meditation, and healing.

Join Create at Full Pint for Round Two with teaching artist, Juan Jose Fernandez. He will use a similar structure as Round One, but with new exercises. Feel free to join in whether or not you participated in his June class.

Attendees will experience a wide range of published and self-published autobiographic comics, will learn how to use the comics grid to pace out stories, and will learn how to play the dance between images and words in comics.

This workshop is deeply inspired by the comics of Lynda Barry.

Taught by Juan Jose Fernandez of Pittsburgh Comics Salon!
SKILL LEVEL: If you can draw a silly-looking batman, have ever kept a diary or journal or like to free write, this workshop is for you.

All materials are included in the class fee. Also, your first draft beer or soda is included, too!

There is food available on Monday evenings and other types of drinks- not included in your fee.
