At 10:45 a.m., enjoy a special selection of patriotic tunes performed by special guests the Yinzer Singers in the Fort Pitt Block House yard.

At 11 a.m., visitors can gather in the Fort Pitt Block House yard to help lower a British ensign and raise a 36-foot, 13-star American flag with help from museum staff and local scouts. This American flag is one of several early patterns that may have flown over Fort Pitt during the American Revolution.

The ceremony will conclude with the singing of the national anthem by the Yinzer Singers.

Throughout the afternoon, costumed re-enactors from the Fort Pitt Museum will recreate 18^th-century life at the Forks of the Ohio River. Visitors to the Point can learn about Fort Pitt and Western Pennsylvania’s role in the American Revolution on this patriotic holiday.

All outdoor living history programming is free and open to the public.
