Join artist Ruth Root and curator Eric Crosby to celebrate the opening of Ruth Root in CMOA’s Forum Gallery.
For her solo exhibition at CMOA, Root (b. Chicago, 1967) presents a new series of large-scale paintings constructed with plexiglass and printed fabrics. With her unexpected approach to color, shape, and material, Root's unruly paintings push the boundaries of the medium and delight in the pleasures of pattern.
This in-gallery conversation with the artist and cocktail reception is free and open to the public, with a cash bar. Stay afterward for Third Thursday, CMOA's monthly evening event, for $5.
