Ruth Root opens with great fanfare!
With a jolt of color and geometry, Ruth Root’s eccentric paintings dazzle with their play of pattern. Help us celebrate the opening of this exhibition!
Make – It’s a pattern party! Screen print unique patterns onto bandanas. Wear your creation throughout the evening and take it home to continue the party. Guests will also work collaboratively with artist and DJ Mary Tremonte to create a series of banners using screen-printed fabric.
Dance – Move to the beats of DJ Mary Mack (Mary Tremonte) and DJ Freeter (Ginger Brooks Takahashi) under and around the banners and patterns you create.
Snap – Become part of a Ruth Root pattern with the help of a TapSnap photo booth.
Explore – Step through the museum with the help of artist Ruth Root’s gallery guide. Discover new things and finish the guide for a prize.
Pioneer – Be the first to see Ruth Root’s wonderful world of painting in our Forum gallery. Seriously, no one will see this exhibition before you.
Adults: $10 (Members: $8, Students: $5)
