Registration for Youth Chamber Connection (YC²) is now open! YC² offers chamber music education, enrichment, and community-service performance opportunities for members of Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestras (TRYPO), the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra (PYSO), and interested young musicians from the tri-state area. ADMISSION INFO
2022-23 Full Season tuition rate: $500 less $100 household/ensemble discount for eligible students
Students pay annual tuition for participation in YC². Tuition covers only a portion of our expenses, and TRYPO and PYSO engage in annual fund-raising to cover the balance.
HOUSEHOLD/ENSEMBLE DISCOUNT: Households that have a child registered in PYSO or in a TRYPO large ensemble for 2022-23, may be eligible for a $100 household discount ($50 per semester).
$50 non-refundable deposit will be invoiced upon receipt of registration.
Tuition balance will be added to your TRYPO invoice after student's placement in a chamber group is confirmed in late September. Families can opt to pay their tuition balance in full or via multiple automatic credit card payments.
TUITION ASSISTANCE
We offer a financial aid and scholarship program to assist deserving, eligible students. Families should not be discouraged from applying to YC² due to financial limitations. YC² is administrated by TRYPO, in partnership with PYSO. Both are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations committed to keeping costs as low as possible without diminishing the quality or depth of programming, and ensuring that no deserving young musician be denied participation based on financial means. Especially after the year(s) we have all endured, our scholarship program is easier than ever to receive what you need.

Each chamber group will come up with a meeting time that works best for the group. Most chamber groups rehearse on Saturdays or Sundays. It is ultimately up to each group's availability. Rehearsal times are very flexible.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
-TRYPO office/student rehearsals/concerts are currently “Mask-Friendly,” as long as a “mask-friendly” policy is consistent with our host venue. What does Mask-Friendly mean? We respect each individual’s decision whether or not to wear a mask. -While a distanced chair can be requested by students, parents, or a teaching artist, they are not required for any musician. -If any student develops symptoms consistent with COVID-19, stay home and get a test. Notify TRYPO staff that you would like to try to attend via Zoom if you are feeling well enough (if Zoom is available for that session). -Consistent with CDC guidelines, vaccination against COVID-19 is strongly encouraged. -In the event that one of our rehearsal or performance venues requires more COVID-19 Safety Protocols than TRYPO currently does, TRYPO will default to the Safety Protocols specified by our host venues.
