Yoga Paint Party @ home

Yoga Paint Party @ home is a three-part at-home virtual yoga and art series led by Alecia Dawn of YOGAMOTIF. Classes will be held each Monday evening from January 24 through February 7, 2022. The sessions are a continuation of the work of the Pittsburgh Creative Corps (PCC), a joint initiative of the Office of Public Art and Riverlife launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The work of the PCC encourages community connection and engagement through the creative practices of artists.

About Yoga Paint Party
The Yoga Paint Party @ home mixes movement and making in a playful atmosphere of process art. A twist on YOGAMOTIF’s signature workshop, participants will receive a bundle of supplies to immerse themselves in the process at home where they will watch the painting bloom underfoot and enjoy an art making journey complete with a memorable keepsake. Classes will be held on Mondays from 6:00 – 7:30 PM, January 24, January 31, and February 7. This all-levels yoga practice is intended to be mess-free, meaning you won’t leave covered in paint. Prepare for this virtual session by bringing a yoga mat, blanket, water, and plenty of space to create.

YOGAMOTIF is a creative wellness studio that offers art and yoga classes to youth, pregnant people, and the community at large. Grounded in the collective healing of Black mothers, we do this work through mindfulness, self awareness, and creativity-based practices.
