Way Down Yonder in New Orleans

This spectacular concert will explore the roots of brass playing in America, featuring music from early jazz and ragtime masters including Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton, and Sidney Bechet. Featuring such songs as “What a Wonderful World”, “Alexander’s Ragtime Band”, and “Way Down Yonder in New Orleans”. It’s a spectacular Mardi Gras parade!

This concert is part of the 2022-2023 annual concert season presented by River City Brass. Each concert will be presented at 5 locations including Linton Middle School in Penn Hills, Carson Middle School in McCandless, The Palace Theatre in Greensburg, Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland, and Bethel Park High School in South Hills.
